🌲 Tu B'Shvat


Last Friday, our students celebrated Tu B’Shvat (New Year of the Trees) ✡️🌲✨ by learning about climate change, reading The Lorax, taking thoughtful nature walks, and celebrating with a sweet treat. It’s inspiring to see our Rams engage in meaningful conversations about protecting our planet! 🌎🌲🐏

🤝 Multicultural Club #GivesBack to LA Fire Relief


The Multicultural Club hosted a fun raffle last Friday to raise funds for LA Fire Relief, with all proceeds donated to The HOPE Foundation to support communities impacted by the recent fires. Our Rams also brought extra joy with a piñata, bringing our school community together for this meaningful cause — thank you to everyone who participated and donated!

🏀 Rams Basketball Dominates PSAL Finals and Heads to CCS Playoffs


The Kehillah basketball teams are having an incredible season! Both the boys (16-5) and girls (14-2) are division champions, securing top seeds in the PSAL postseason. On Monday, both teams earned spots in the PSAL Finals and automatic entry into the CCS tournament— the girls won 46-14, and the boys triumphed 48-45 in overtime. On Tuesday, the girls dominated Pescadero 50-31. 


Next up: the CCS Division 5 playoffs TOMORROW

Exciting News: Dr. Daisy Pellant’s National Workshop on Well-Being at NAIS



We are excited to share that Head of School Dr. Daisy Pellant will be co-presenting a three-hour workshop at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) next week, alongside Stanford Senior Lecturer and co-founder of Challenge Success Dr. Denise Pope. Their workshop “Values in Action: Using Time to Support Well-Being for Adults and Students at School” is one of only 15 selected for this long-form session and represents Kehillah on a national stage.

🎉 Welcoming Our Newest Ram! 🐏


We would like to extend our warm congratulations to History Teacher Scott Legallet, his wife, and their family on the exciting arrival of their new little ram, Hugo Legallet! Scott reports that they’re all doing great at home, Hugo is sweet and easygoing. We wish the Legallet family all the best as they embark on this wonderful new chapter.

In the meantime, while Mr. Legallet is on paternity leave, we are pleased to welcome History Teacher Dr. Charles Sorrie who will be stepping in to support and continue providing a positive learning experience for our students. His bio is below:


Charles Sorrie, PhD

Charles Sorrie, an historian of Modern France and the United States, has published several articles on the history of World War I. He was a 2018 research Fellow for the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs’ “Living Legacy of World War I” project. He holds a PhD in International History from the London School of Economics and is currently writing a book on censorship of the French press in 1917-1918.


Charles is from Canada, where he taught history of World War I at Trent University, and moved to the Bay Area with his wife, where he taught history and geography at the Lycée Français de San Francisco. At the Lycée, he directed a nationally award-winning Model United Nations team.
