Redeemed!

Redeemed: Jesus faced the cross with joy because He knew the outcome - eternal life for all who believe in Him. As stated in Hebrews 12:2,"who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Eternal life is ours because of what Jesus did for us. As our theme continually reminds us, we are REDEEMED! What joy that brings to us, especially in this sinful world which tries to drain the joy from our lives. As we live in this world, we hold firmly to the joy of salvation and the peace of God's promises. That knowledge gives us strength to persevere in faith and joy as we know we are forgiven and REDEEMED children of God, a message we share with our students daily. May Christ continue to strengthen us daily as we fix our eyes on Him.

Serving in Worship: The Cherub choir (grades 2-4) will be singing in church on Sunday, February 23. Please have your child(ren) at church by 9:10am to warm up. Thank you!

Spectacular Students

Kindergarteners made self-portrait collages, 1st graders worked on sunflowers which were a subject matter for Klimt. 2nd grade students were introduced to Art Nouveau by studying "Tree of Life" and then using those skills to create fish. 3rd graders were inspired by Klimt's Golden Era and created their own woman figure. 4th graders learned how Egyptian art influenced Klimt while using their skills to create birds and 5th graders created their own "Tree of Life" painting.

St. Peter PTL: Parent Tip Line

PTL Tips of the Week: Last Friday, principals and early childhood directors in the Michigan District had the opportunity to hear from Mr. Chris McKenna, Founder and CEO of Protect Young Eyes. Parents are strongly encouraged to visit their website which gives lots of helpful information on how to create safe digital spaces for your children. Two main points of Chris's presentation were to wait to give children cell phones until high school and to not allow social media until 16 years of age. If your child does have a cell phone or uses social media, there is a great review on their website of lots of apps. Technology is a wonderful blessing, but it does present us with lots of dangers. We all want our children to stay safe, so stay vigilant in keeping them safe with technology!
