Family STEAM Night: A Big Success!

Last Friday, Family STEAM Night was a fun-filled evening of exploration and learning! Kids had the chance to try out edible DNA models, oobleck, 3D printers, pi skylines, and much more. Special thanks to event chair Tiffany Anderson, the Homestead High School Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta National Math Honor Society, FBLA clubs, and Science for Change/SNHS for creating and hosting amazing booths, as well as the many student and parent volunteers who made this event possible.

If you missed the event, don’t worry—we’ll be posting the Activity Info Sheets on the PTA website soon!

The PTA Financial Team Needs a Helper

The PTA needs an additional parent to review our bank accounts each month. 5-10 minutes of remote work plus an extra 1-2 hours 2x a year. No experience needed and no need to be a math whiz. It's a critical but low energy role. Please contact Treasurer@cherrychasepta.org if you are able to help.

Year Book Help Wanted

The PTA's yearbook team is looking for help in compiling and creating the yearbook. Photographers are currently not needed. If you can help create layouts, organize class lists, or want to find out more, email yearbook@cherrychasepta.org

Help Bring Arts Education Back to Cherry Chase!

Cherry Chase PTA used to run a hands-on arts in-class enrichment program called FAME. We are looking for a couple more team members to review and revamp it. If you are interested in bringing more arts education to our students, please fill out this form by Jan 31.

Recommend a Parent Leader

Do you know someone who cares deeply about Cherry Chase and can make a difference in our community? Seeking parent leaders to be part of the team that coordinates PTA's wide range of school enrichments, community events, fundraising, and more. Nominate someone for the PTA Board Self nominations are welcome, too!

Project Cornerstone ABC Reader

This month, we will be reading: One by Kathryn Otoshi

This story is a powerful tale that explores themes of empathy, courage, and the power of unity. Additionally, the story promotes a growth mindset by showing that even in difficult situations, there is always hope for positive change.
