Thank you for an amazing Walk-a-Thon!

The energy at Walk-a-Thon was incredible! The kids worked so hard and showed that Chargers Go the Extra Mile! We are tallying the walking results. Thank you to all family members who volunteered, many of whom worked multiple shifts. We could not have done it without the 150+ of you who gave your time, donated to the bake sale, and cheered on our kids. 

If you lent any equipment and did not yet take it home, please pick up your items from the office at your earliest convenience.

Walk-a-Thon Pledges Due Fri April 25th

We are making amazing progress towards our fundraising goal of $70,000. Fundraising is still ongoing through Friday, April 25th.

• Donating by credit card? Go to our 99Pledges page and search for your student by first name. Don't forget to share with friends and family!
• Donating cash or checks? Print out page 3 of the walk-a-thon packet and submit it in an envelope with the payments to the PTA lockbox in the Cherry Chase office.
• Donating via a company portal? Fill out this form so we can credit your student. Note that while we appreciate company match funds, only the personal donation portion can count towards pledge rewards

Congratulations to Ms. Song's class for already reaching 100% participation and earning a pizza party! Can't wait to see more classes join them. 

Every student who raises $150+ earns an exclusive Walk-a-Thon themed prize and $275+ earns an invitation to the Grand Prize Movie Night. Plus the student with the most number of donors per grade and overall will be presented with medals at the awards ceremony!

Auction Prize Fulfillment

Walk-a-Thon & Auction Survey

The walk-a-thon & auction committee would like your feedback! Please share your thoughts on the change this year to holding it during the school day or any other aspect of this year's event and fundraiser by filling out this survey.

International Night Ambassadors

International Night will be on Friday, May 9! This is always a great showcase of Cherry Chase's rich cultural diversity with country booths, games, performances, and food nibbles.

If you're interested in representing another country, please fill out this survey by this Friday, April 11.

Community Events

Autism Awareness Month: Lunch Tables & Activities

To celebrate Autism Awareness Month in April 2025, the PTA Special Ed

Committee along with Parents will organize a Lunch Table on Wednesday, Apr 23.

Activities are also planned on the day for which three to four lunch tables will be

used. The activities planned include –

1. Sensory exploration
2. Talker Table with AAC Device, Low Tech Boards Simple ASL
3. Friendship/Kindness Table

We also plan some activities for TK and Kindergarten classes during their lunch

hour. If you want to learn more or want to participate, please reach out to

Project Cornerstone Workshop: Bullying

YMCA Project Cornerstone (ABC Reader Program) is extending special invitation to parents of Sunnyvale School District to attend the upcoming workshop on Bullying Prevention. Through this workshop, you will see many connections to the lessons from our Project Cornerstone books. This workshop is geared towards parents supporting students with Bullying Prevention.
