Is Your Home Safe from Wildfire?
The Agoura Hills Fire Safe Council and its partners are currently offering FREE Home Ignition Zone (HIZ) Assessments. Get the answers you want about your home. Upon request, a volunteer wildfire assessor will visit your home and conduct a guided walk-through with you to provide real-time feedback and address specific questions or concerns about your property. The assessment provides educational information related to Home Hardening and Defensible Space, that will harden your home and increase its survivability in the event of a wildfire.
Experiments, models and post-fire studies have shown homes ignite due to the condition of the home and everything around it, up to 100’ from the foundation. This is called the Home Ignition Zone (HIZ).
Get your assessment by completing the form here.
