Dear FAA Family,

Happy Spirit Week!

It’s Spirit Week—a time to motivate and encourage our scholars as they prepare to take the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs)! These tests measure how well students have learned the state standards in math, language arts, and science. Our scholars have been working incredibly hard all year, and we’re so proud of their dedication!

We need your help to keep the motivation going at home. Please encourage your scholar to read every night, complete their homework, and get a good night's sleep.

Field Trip Fun!

Last Friday, our sixth graders took a field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art. While there, they explored the Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. This amazing exhibit features paintings and other artworks by African American artists. It was an inspiring and educational experience for all!

Donuts with a Difference Maker

Next Thursday, April 24th, we will be hosting our annual Donuts with a Difference Maker event from 8:30 to 10:00 am at both sites.

This special event is designed to connect scholars with the most important and influential male figures in their lives. We warmly invite fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other significant male role models to join us for donuts, coffee, or juice while spending meaningful time with their scholar.

We look forward to celebrating the positive impact you make!

Scholastic Book Fair

Finally, we’re excited to announce that our Scholastic Book Fair will begin on April 17th!

Scholars have already had a chance to preview the books and have a good idea of which ones they’d like to purchase. This is a great opportunity to build a love of reading and grow personal book collections!

Please support our Book Fair—a portion of the proceeds will go toward purchasing more books for our school library.
