New Updates on Cases

Semaglutide & NAION (Vision Loss)

Semaglutide drugs, sold under brand names of Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Rybelsus and Zepbound are used to treat diabetes and obesity. Alarmingly, however, given this rise in popularity, a study shows they are associated with a rare form of vision loss, non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

If you or a loved one suffered from NAION or other vision loss after taking a semaglutide drug like Ozempic or Wegovy, please contact Moll Law Group at 312.462.1700 or complete our form at molllawgroup.com.

Ozempic and Wegovy Linked to Vision Loss

Drugs like Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Zepbound may increase the risks of vision loss. One of the drugs’ potential side effects is a rare kind of vision loss, non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy or NAION. 💊 ⚠️

When you take a drug prescribed by your doctor, you are likely to assume it’s safe and that you’ll be warned of any serious side effects. Unfortunately, sometimes there are dangerous side effects of drugs that are not known or have not been sufficiently studied.

If you suffered vision loss or NAION while on Ozempic, Wegovy or another GLP-1 drug, please contact Moll Law Group at 312.462.1700 or complete our form at molllawgroup.com.

FDA Bans Red No. 3,

the Artificial Coloring in Many Products

The FDA recently banned use of Red No. 3, but the Center for Science in the Public Interest has commented that it exists in thousands of products. Notably, the FDA isn’t banning Red No. 40, another artificial dye linked to problems, specifically behavioral ones, in kids.  ⚠️

Food manufacturers can take until Jan. 15, 2027, to reformulate their products.  🍒 🍓

If you developed cancer and believe it may have been due to consumption of Red No. 3 or another food additive that’s associated with cancer, please contact Moll Law Group at 312.462.1700 or complete our form at molllawgroup.com.

The FDA Makes Announcements

Related to Smoking and Nicotine Addiction

The FDA's recent announcements on nicotine regulation raise concerns. In a time when the harms of nicotine to the body and brain, particularly on youth brain development, are increasingly clear, it seems surprising that the FDA would authorize 20 Zyn nicotine pouches in multiple attention-grabbing flavors like Peppermint, Chill, Smooth, Citrus, and Cinnamon.  🚭 🚨

If your child was harmed by a nicotine pouch or other addictive nicotine product, please contact Moll Law Group for expert legal assistance at 312.462.1700 or complete our form at molllawgroup.com.
