César Chávez Holiday Observed March 31


American River College will be closed on Monday, March 31, in honor of César Chávez. No classes will be held, and all college offices will be closed. 


César Chávez made a lasting impact on America’s farmworkers through his work as a labor leader and civil rights activist. This holiday promotes community service in honor of Chávez's life and work. Learn more about César Chávez.

  • Tuesday, May 13 – Open enrollment for all students begins


Each semester, students are given a priority registration date and time. You can find your priority registration date and time in eServices. This date and time is the earliest time you can enroll in classes. Students can enroll at any time during open enrollment.

Priority Deadline for Financial Aid Extended to April 2!


The priority deadline for submitting your 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) has been extended to Wednesday, April 2, 2025.


If you have not submitted your 2025-2026 FAFSA or CADAA Application yet, please do so ASAP.

Kings Scholarship


The Kings are offering ten (10) $2,000 scholarships through the “ICanGoToCollege Assists for Scholarships” program. Visit www.Kings.com/ICAN, complete the application form and submit a 30- to 60-second vertical video explaining why you should receive a scholarship for college by incorporating the theme: DREAM BIG, ACHIEVE BIGGER to be considered for a scholarship!

Natomas Center - Accelerated College Education Program


The Accelerated College Education (ACE) program at the Natomas Center puts you on the fast track toward a Bachelor's degree! Complete the Real College California Survey


All of us here at American River College care about your success as a student. You are invited to participate in a survey to help us better understand the challenges students face while attending college and to learn more about how students overcome these challenges.


The survey will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and completely anonymous. By participating in the survey, you will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a chance to win one of twenty $250 incentives.


This survey is being administered by The Research and Planning Group (The RP Group) for California Community Colleges. Survey results will be used both statewide and here at Los Rios to better support students now and in years to come.
