Critical Infrastructure Improvement Projects

Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project: South Sea Pines Drive from Merganser Court to the end of South Sea Pines Drive (stopping at the entrance of Lands End).

  • Roadway and leisure trail milling operations will begin next week, weather permitting. Traffic delays expected. Please avoid the area if possible.
  • Heavy construction planned with single-lane road closures, leisure trail closures, and flagging operations in place. For safety, bike riders will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones.
  • Paving operations are planned for the week of February 17th, weather permitting.

Maintenance Projects & Services

Light Pole Repairs:

  • On the morning of February 13th, our electrical contractor will be repairing a light pole at the Greenwood Gate. Traffic will be reduced to one lane during this repair.
  • Following this work, repairs will begin on a light pole at the intersection of North Sea Pines Drive and Lighthouse Road, with no expected traffic impacts.

Tree Care Management:

  • Tree trimming along Greenwood Drive, from Sea Pines Circle to Club Course Drive, is scheduled for February 17th-20th. During this project work, there will be intermittent traffic delays, single-lane closures, and flagging operations in place.
  • Additionally, a declining pine tree will be removed from Sea Pines Circle, with no anticipated traffic delays during this removal.

Forestry Mulching: Next week, our contractor will be on-site in the wooded areas near the entrance of Greenwood Forest and at the back section of Lot 8 to perform forestry mulching. This eco-friendly method clears land by turning vegetation into mulch, ensuring that our Maintenance team has essential access to drainage areas.

Asphalt Repairs: Road patching on Pine Island Court, Marshview Drive, Calibogue Cay Road, Lawton Road, and Lighthouse Road (near the fire station) will begin next week.

Stormwater Maintenance: Installation of a catch basin on the corner of Greenwood Drive and Red Maple Road (pictured) will be completed this week. Next week, ditch clean out will begin in select areas between Oak Court and Bateau Road.

Beachwalk Maintenance: Annual tree trimming along Sea Pines CSA-managed Beachwalks is in progress and will continue over the next couple of weeks. We kindly ask pedestrians and cyclists to exercise caution and pay close attention to the flagmen present on-site.

What Can I Place in Sea Pines CSA Debris Pickup Piles?

This weekly sustainability service is available to property owners and includes the collection of "green material," from CSA Neighborhood Debris Pickup sites, which consists of:

  • Yard trimmings
  • Leaves
  • Palm fronds
  • Small limbs (not exceeding 6” in diameter)
  • NOTE: Debris left at pickup locations should not be bagged. Other debris will not be collected (flower pots, tree stumps, waste, metal, plastic or concrete).

Sea Pines CSA processes the “green material” at our Recycling Debris Facility. The “green material” is processed into mulch and provided free of charge to property owners, upon request. As a reminder, landscape and lawn service contractors are not permitted to leave debris collected from within Sea Pines at these locations.

Sea Pines CSA Green Screening Project

To improve the aesthetics and privacy of the Sea Pines community, we are working with our landscaping contractor to develop a green screening plan near the fencing of the storage parking area adjacent to Harris Teeter. We will keep the community updated on the project details as the plans move forward.
