MAP Remains Committed to Our Clients and Communities

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As many of you are aware, the new federal administration's actions have already begun to impact many of the communities we serve, including non-citizens, transgender individuals, older adults on fixed incomes, and others. In the past week, we have received mixed messaging from the federal government, including several stop work orders on programs that are supported by federal funding, and the release and subsequent rescinding of a memo freezing federal funds.

As we navigate through these uncertain times, we're working diligently to understand how the OMB memo will be interpreted and how it might impact our programs. Rest assured, we will continue to serve our clients as usual, and we will provide updates as we have more information. Our work has always been about improving the lives of our community members, and though these changes present significant challenges, we are proud of the impact we've had and will continue to have.

Lastly, we are immensely grateful for your ongoing support, which allows us to continue this critical work. Thank you for standing with us and the individuals and communities we serve.

With deep appreciation,

Michigan Advocacy Program
