Participate in Holy Week Services and Easter Decorating
Good Friday, April 18, 6pm View the Printed Liturgy
We hear the story of Jesus’ trial, crucifixion, and death in a presentation of the Passion Gospel presented by several readers. We venerate the Cross (approach the cross of Jesus to offer a silent prayer), and receive Communion from Reserved Sacrament (already blessed bread and wine). Watch the livestream here.
The Good Friday Offering was first gathered in 1922 by the Episcopal Church to support Anglican ministries in the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East. All donations collected at Trinity on Good Friday will support the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza; St. George’s Anglican Episcopal Church in Baghdad, Christ Church in Yemen; All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Syria; and All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Lebanon. Click here to donate directly.

Junior Warden Announcement
In March, we announced that Mark Ismond, who had been serving for the past year as both the Junior Warden and Buildings and Grounds chair, would be stepping down from those roles. Mark has generously shared his time and expertise in making sure our buildings were safe, secure, and functioning well. Although Mark will no longer be serving as Junior Warden or B&G chair, he continues to be an active member of the Vestry, and a knowledgeable resource about planned building and repair projects.
Over the past several weeks, the Vestry, working with the Senior Warden and clergy, has been in a discernment process about who to invite to serve as Junior Warden, and I'm delighted to announce that Susan Zink has accepted this leadership role. Besides serving on the Vestry for the past two years, Susan is also a member of the Invite, Welcome, Connect steering committee, and a volunteer with the Bouquet Blessings ministry. Susan, and her husband Paul, are also enthusiastic welcomers and connecters at Sunday services, making sure that the clergy know when there are newcomers or visitors to Trinity. Welcome, Junior Warden Susan!

Welcome Council Leadership
At our Annual Meeting in February, we announced that Elizabeth Patterson would be retiring from her role as chair of Trinity's Welcome Council. I'm grateful for Elizabeth's energy and creativity in connection with Welcome, including introducing us to the Episcopal Church's Invite, Welcome, Connect program, and planning and launching the Bouquet Blessings ministry. Elizabeth continues to serve as a greeter, and an active part of the Flower Guild. Thank you, Elizabeth!
I'm also delighted to announce that John Spence will be stepping into the role as chair of the Welcome Council. John currently serves as a Greeter on Sundays, and he and his wife, Carla, embody welcome and hospitality with all whom they meet, reaching out to those sitting near them in worship and making connections at coffee hour, trying to make sure that no one is standing alone. I look forward to John's involvement in leadership at Trinity, and helping all of us to become, more and more, a community of radical welcome and inclusion. Welcome, John!
The Rev. Elizabeth Molitors, Rector
