Lagniappe Internship Fund Offers Financial Support

If you need help with expenses related to your summer internship, consider applying for assistance through the Lagniappe Internship Fund. This award is available to full-time undergraduate students who have been admitted to the Ourso College. To qualify, recipients must be continuing their undergraduate studies at LSU in the fall.


Applications are due at 4 p.m.on Friday, April 25.

This Week: Student Subjects Needed for News Study

Mia Carbone, a PhD candidate from UCLA, is recruiting student subjects for a study about news. The study will occur in the Media Effects Lab at the Manship Research Facility. In 45-minute sessions, students will answer a survey and then watch news clips while their heart rate and perspiration levels are measured using small sensors on their fingers. They will then answer some brief questions about the videos they chose to watch. Students are compensated with a $20 Amazon gift card. Sign up for a slot this week.
