Can We Plant a Million Trees? -

Tree Fest 2025

Solar Impact, Inc. and Swamp Head Brewery have teamed up again for the 11th Annual Tree Fest on Saturday, April 26, from 12 PM to 11 PM.

Tree Fest celebrates the environment by raising money to plant one-year-old longleaf pine trees with Alachua Conservation Trust in an event that features food trucks, family-friendly activities until 5 PM, live music, and, of course, Swamp Head beer.

4 trees will be planted for every beer purchased during Tree Fest, 20 trees for every Tree Fest T-Shirt bought, and all sponsor donations will increase our tree planting. Since its inception, Tree Fest has helped plant 815,193 trees.

Santa Fe River Preserve Bioblitz

Friday, April 25, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Join ACT for a Bioblitz of Santa Fe River Preserve and help us catalog the species on our preserve! Please bring a phone to use iNaturalist to aid in the species identification.

A bioblitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short time, usually 24 hours. As part of City Nature Challenge, Alachua County is in a friendly contest with cities across the globe to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people.

Thanks to our partners at the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department, The Florida Museum of Natural History, City of Gainesville, UF IFAS, and the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo.
