Keys of Wisdom, Gates of Power

This time of year we dedicate ourselves to our visions and our work for the coming cycle. We find ourselves at gates of decisions about time, energy, creativity, work, and relationships. Can we open the gates we want to cross through? Do we have the right keys to unlock these gates to reach our goals, or are we trying to use old worn out keys that no longer fit the locks? Many goddesses have gifts to offer us at these important times in our journeys, such as Hekate, Athena, Cardea, Kybele, Ma’at, and Grandmother Spider. In this class we will focus on the gates to our next goals. We will create our own keys to success, through writing, arts, stories, ritual, and aligning our energy with natural and cyclical forces around us.

During this 6-week series, we will utilize Google Groups as well as virtual classes on Zoom, Tuesdays from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM CST beginning Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

About the Instructor:

Sid Reger is a goddess artist and independent scholar whose passions are prehistoric art, sacred stories and mythology, and earth-centered matrifocal cultures. She is an ordained priestess for the Re-formed Congregation of the Goddess and a member of the faculty of the Women’s Thealogical Institute. She is president of the Association for the Study of Women and Mythology (ASWM). Having entered the crone stage of her own life, she is intrigued by how women of all ages use sacred stories to foster their spiritual growth.

In this 6-week class we will learn much about guardian herstory, and explore the lore represented in film. We will delve deeper into the ways different guardians can hone their skills. Learn to Identify and define non-ritual guardian roles and delve into ritual roles of guardians within the Dianic tradition. Lastly, we will come to recognize new ways to effect global change in changing times.

This overview class of The Guardian Mystique was originally presented by Bellezza Squillace and Marisa Folse in 2003. Get ready for a host of information as we examine, research and question energetics, roles, ethics and much, much more.

About the Instructor:

Marisa Folse, with ancestors from four different continents, cherishes the rich traditions of her mixed-race heritage. Her teachings tend to span multicultural approaches. She began ritual work with Circle of Aradia during late 1980s. She served as ritual guardian in California from 1990’s with Circle of Aradia, Iseum of Isis Navigatum, Temple of Aradia and The Goddess Temple of OC. Her extensive experience includes serving as land and gathering guardian at powwows and Califia Collection in 1980s, at LA Pride, Grandmother Oaks Festival of the Goddess and Rhythm Fest in the 1990’s, at Z Budapest’s Goddess 2000 and at RCGI Priestess Gatherings in 2000s. Marisa Folse is the first woman ordained as Guardian Minister through RCG-I's WTI Guardian Program.
