Duct Tape Wallet Craft

Wednesday, March 26th - 10:30am to Noon

Looking for a fun and creative activity for the kids this spring break? Come on down to the library and learn how to make your very own duct tape wallet!

This hands-on craft program is perfect for kids 8+, and everyone will walk away with a cool, personalized wallet they made themselves. All materials provided – just bring your creativity!

Silversmithing Workshop

Wednesday, March 26th at 5pm

Join us at the Short's Brewing Pull Barn in Elk Rapids for a fun, hands-on silversmithing workshop! Think Paint & Sip, but instead of painting a canvas, you’ll learn the basics of silversmithing and create your own sterling silver cuff bracelet.

Beach Glass Wood Chimes Workshop

Thursday, March 27th - 6pm to 8pm

Join our beach glass workshop to create beautiful wind chimes! The top of your wind chimes is created with a real, large starfish. Each string of beach glass will swing from the arms of the starfish to create a beautiful sound and look. Participants get to choose the beach glass colors of their choice. Perfect to hang and enjoy. Ages 10 and up welcome.

Fish Fry at Sacred Heart Church

Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Elk Rapids is hosting Fish Fry Fridays, March 7 to April 11 from 5-7 pm at 143 Charles Street, Elk Rapids. All are welcome to join the parish community for a delicious meal of either fried cod with chips for $13 or baked salmon with chips for $15. Meals are available for dine-in or take-out.

Dinners can be purchased at the door. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Michigan Maple Weekend

March 29th & 30th, 10am to Noon

The trees will be tapped and the sap flowing, see how it is harvested and made into the great tasting syrup you enjoy! Some of the other products you might catch a glimpse of being made are maple candy, maple cream, maple sugar and so much more! Fun and educational for the entire family!

Spring Pastels Workshop

Saturday, March 29th - 1 to 3pm

To welcome spring, we will take a short walk looking for signs of spring’s awakening. We will use pastels and a variety of other media to illustrate what we have uncovered. All supplies provided. This 2-hour program is $10 per person. More information at grassriver.org. Grass River Natural Area is located at 6500 Alden Highway.

Three, $2,500 scholarships are available to current ERHS Seniors who plan on attending or are currently attending Northwestern Michigan College. The completed application and required documents need to be postmarked no later than April 21st.
