Religious Education

Our religious education program is continuing to explore our shared value of pluralism this Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look to different religious traditions for inspiration and Dave Nelson will be joining all ages to share his experiences as a Quaker. Our nursery will be open for infants to 3 years.

Our ELEVATOR IS OUT OF ORDER at the moment. We were hoping for a simple fix but it looks like it will be a major repair that could take a few weeks. If you have any questions about building accessibility, please reach out to the office. We apologize for any inconvenience. WE NOW HAVE A RAMP!! Our Building & Grounds crew did a fantastic job building an accessible ramp at the side door of the church, so the sanctuary, social room, Romer Room and library are all accessible while we wait for the elevator to be repaired.

Making A Space for Everyone

Have you noticed the changes in the social room?  We are experimenting with making a space for everyone during social hour on Sundays.  We have extroverts and introverts, folx who want to stand and those that need to sit or are in a wheelchair.  To this end, the couches have been rearranged. Small tables are set up.  A puzzle table is now in the corner of the fireplace room.  If you have ideas for other ways to make this space enjoyable for everyone, please speak with Carol Zimmerman, DRE or Rev James Galasinski.

There are so many ways to live our UU values and grow our UU identity.

Check out the March Beyond Our Walls post here to learn about local, regional, national and online opportunities.

Jazz & Coffee Night Friday March 28 at 6 p.m.: Join us for the first Jazz night of 2024. The 5 Dots will play all the Jazz standards and we'll have the coffee bar. This event is free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to bring canned goods for the Church & Community Program.

Facing the Present with Heart: First Sundays at 2 p.m. with Jenna Joya Blondel. In these challenging times, we are not alone. Please join us in Facing the Present with Heart: a mindful listening circle, in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Read more here.

Finding Awe and Wonder Summer Program

Our Finding Awe and Wonder summer program for children 5-12 years will be offered again this year August 25-29 from 9:30am-2:30pm.

Space is limited so register today by clicking here.

The cost for the program will be $25 per half day participation and $35 per full day per child. A $50 deposit is required. Click here to make your payment.

Reach out to Carol Zimmerman, DRE via email if you have questions.

A Note on Parking: Please be mindful that the St. Lawrence County Center for History & Culture shares their parking lot with us. They are open to the public Tuesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and need parking spots available for their patrons to use. If you are visiting church during those hours and are able to walk a little further, please park in public lots or on the street out front to allow access for those less able. Thank you!

Photo Release: We tried to capture, in writing, everyone’s permission to use their photos in church publications. It didn’t work. NOW, we are flipping the strategy, If you DO NOT want the church to use your image, we will need a completed form, which you can complete ONLINE HERE. If we don’t have a form, we assume we can use your picture!
