Grateful for You 💙🧡

A Note from the WRFI Office

Hello wonderful WRFI community!

It's me, Kimberly, the author of these fabulous newsletters that grace your inbox every two weeks or so. As I get ready to send off this most recent edition, I wanted to take a moment to extend a huge thank you to those who take the time to read these and stay up to date with what we're up to over here at WRFI. I recognize that we have a lot going on, but my goal is always to excite rather than to overwhelm. As an Environmental Ethics alum and now a member of the office team, it brings me great joy to see WRFI embarking on new adventures like our coffee stout collaboration, the launch of adult courses, and new scholarships that guarantee more students will be able to join us in the field for a life-changing journey.

WRFI's mission is near and dear to my heart, and I know that's the case for you too. I speak for all of us here at the office when I tell you just how grateful we are to have your support as we continue the honor of fulfilling our mission together. Thank you for being here!

See you out there,

Kimberly Rivers

Reflections: Women on the Water

Laurie Schlueb Looks Back on Her Course

We caught up with Laurie Schleub, valued member of the WRFI community and participant in last fall’s Women on the Water course, to see what sticks out to her about the trip several months down the line. She reflected on the valuable opportunities the course provided to spend time with herself, her fellow course members, and the nature around her, all without the distractions of everyday life. Read the graphics above to hear directly from Laurie!

This year’s Women on the Water course will set sail from September 7-13 out of Missoula, MT. Visit the link below to learn more and sign up today! This course is open to female-identifying participants of all ages.
