Dear HCP4,
I love spring. The days grow warmer, parks come alive, and families across Precinct 4 (including mine!) are out enjoying our incredible greenspaces. We all should be making the most of the incredible Precinct 4 parks, trails, and outdoor spaces that our dedicated team works hard to maintain and improve for you.
This spring, we will continue delivering results and improvements for you and your family.
With deep community partnership and engagement, my team and I have been planning the future of Burnett Bayland Park in the heart of Gulfton. Now, we’re ready to share the next steps. I hope you’ll join us for a Town Hall on March 29 where we’ll discuss the renovation timeline, answer your questions, and provide exciting activities for the whole family.
As we break ground on one project, we are expanding community outreach for another. Precinct 4 will soon begin renovations on Tracy Gee Community Center. As we move into the design phase, we need your feedback. Take our survey to share your ideas for the future of Tracy Gee Community Center, which has served the community for decades.
With spring break around the corner, I know families are looking for ways to stay active and engaged. Our parks and community centers are ready to be your home away from home. From a scavenger hunt and beginner archery lessons to cooking demonstrations and bird watching, our community center team members have planned free activities for the whole family. Visit our events page to plan your spring break.
The Precinct 4 team is working hard every day to drive progress throughout our region, and we need your continued partnership. Whether you’re joining a town hall, calling my office with your ideas, or simply making the most of the parks and programs we’ve built together, your engagement drives everything we do.
So, let’s embrace spring, seize the opportunities ahead, and keep building a Harris County we’re all proud to call home!
All my best,
Lesley Briones
