"The Scriptures Say..."

Luke 4:1-13

In-person and Live Stream to Facebook and YouTube at 10:30 AM

Good evening friends!

We have entered the season of Lent – This is a time for us to walk a closer walk with God – but shouldn’t we be doing that all year long? Let’s think about Lent as a Season to jumpstart our faith, active in love towards God and towards our neighbor. Will you join me in re-centering your life around Jesus?

This coming week will be Spring Break for the Scottsdale School District, which is the school calendar that we follow. So, the school and office will be closed next week for Spring Break. We will still be working and checking phone calls and emails, so reach out to us if you need something.

We have our next Baptism Class coming up on Sunday March 30 after worship. If you are interested in the class, please sign up with Vanessa or Bri. We will provide childcare and a light lunch for the adults – please bring a lunch for your child or children. We will meet around Noon, after worship on the 30th.

To begin the season of Lent we go back into Luke’s Gospel. We will look at the Temptation of Jesus. This occurs in Luke right after his baptism and his genealogy. Being filled with the Holy Spirit Jesus is immediately drawn out into the wilderness where he is tempted. Last Sunday, at his Transfiguration, we got a great glimpse of who Jesus is – his identity. This week, that identity will be tested. Join us for worship as we look at Luke 4: 1-13 and explore what Jesus meant when he said, “The Scriptures Say…”

Pastor Steve

Stay tuned for another fun story from Ms. Dana next week! 😊
