Dear Families of Students in Grades 9-11,

In the coming week, every student in grades 9-11 will craft an initial slate of course requests that provides the appropriate level of challenge to foster academic growth while maintaining personal balance. By developing this list before spring break, there is time for reflection and refinement before we finalize this list at the end of April.

Students and their families can view their 2025-26 course recommendations by logging into Blackbaud via mySchoolApp. Please review this information and our Upper School Course Description Guide as a family.

Each grade level will have an assembly that provides further information before they may edit their course requests in Blackbaud and complete the Initial Course Request Confirmation Form (by clicking the yellow banner).

  • Rising Seniors: Monday, March 3
  • Rising Juniors: Tuesday, March 4
  • Rising Sophomores: Wednesday, March 5

By Tuesday, March 11, every student in grades 9-11 should craft their list of course requests. In addition, every student and at least one parent/guardian should complete the Initial Course Request Confirmation Form. Please use the comments box on the Confirmation Form to share any additional information, requests or appeals.

In late April, students and their families will have another opportunity to request any adjustments to their course requests if they choose to submit a Final Course Request Confirmation Form.

If any questions arise in the coming weeks, please contact your child’s advisor or Mr. Dow (dowc@columbusacademy.org).
