The Georgia Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) proudly accepted the prestigious SCIF (Safari Club International Foundation) award in January 2025, recognizing their unwavering dedication and longstanding commitment to supporting wounded veterans. This is the 9th consecutive year that the GA Chapter of the SCI has received the Veterans Award.
Among the distinguished attendees at the Nashville conference was James Lakeman, owner, and president of Glasslined Technologies, and also the GASCI past president and Vet Committee member, whose unwavering commitment to the wounded vets earned him well-deserved recognition. Alongside James, the esteemed current GA SCI president, Lester Richardson, stood as a shining example of leadership and compassion. Not pictured-renowned author, esteemed television producer, and host of several outdoor shows, Jim Shockey was also in attendance.
Glasslined Technologies, Inc donated $3500 to SCIF to cover travel expenses for the wounded Veteran of the year.

Recently, James Lakeman visited the Carpenter Enameling Center in Bellevue, KY. This center showcases the rich history of enameling, with artifacts dating back to 200 AD. It was an incredible experience to see how this art form has stood the test of time, evolving into industrial applications that shape modern manufacturing.
James' connection to the enameling world goes back many years, thanks to his relationship with Woody Carpenter. In the early days of Glasslined Technologies Inc. (GTI), they frequently worked with Ceramic Coating Company (CCC) for new parts and reglazing projects. Woody was always generous with his knowledge, spending countless hours sharing insights about the enameling process.
