A recent analysis by the DC Public Library, led by Brick & Story with support from Brailsford & Dunlavey, assessed whether Adams Morgan, U Street, and Dupont Circle need a new public library. While some residents expressed interest in a closer location, the analysis found that barriers to library access—like lack of awareness, language challenges, and service gaps—could be addressed through other means. Instead of immediately pursuing a new full-service library, the final analysis recommends expanded outreach, digital services, and potential smaller-scale solutions.
