WHY VOTE ON APRIL 1, 2025?

April 1st is the election that most directly effects your life. Each of the local taxing bodies that affect your property tax, will have candidates on the ballot. This includes the school districts, park districts, township and the village.

We encourage you to make it a priority to learn about the candidates and vote.

Early voting will be at the Avon Township Building starting March 17th and ending March 28th. Election day is Tuesday, April 1st.

The Village of Hainesville will have 5 candidates running for 3 Trustee Seats as well as 1 candidate running for the Mayoral Seat. We will be hosting a Candidates Forum at the Village Hall on March 19th at 6:30 p.m. for those running for Trustee.

PREPARING FOR HOME IMPROVEMENTS?

As we near the Spring Season, are you looking to make improvements to your home? Be sure that you obtain the proper permits for your projects. Click HERE for information on what projects require a permit. If you are unsure if a permit is required and do not see it on the list, please contact the Village Hall. Failure to secure the proper permitting could result in fines, being required to remove or uninstall a project, or cause issues with insurance companies down the road. A permit is there to protect you!

Be sure to contact JULIE before you do any digging. You can schedule online or by calling 811. You should always know what is below!

2025 HAINESVILLE FOOD TRUCK THURSDAYS

The events will be weekly on Thursdays, April 17th - September 25th from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. With the addition of the new park in front of our Public Works building, there will be more places to sit and enjoy your dinners! We are very excited to have a number of new trucks joining us this year to offer a wider variety of options to our residents. Stay tuned for the official calendar!

A REMINDER FOR OUR PET OWNERS

Village Ordinances require that all dogs be leashed. Please be respectful of your

neighbors and Village by picking up after your dogs and disposing of their droppings

in the appropriate manner.
