CEO’s Letter to the Community

Dear Friend,

I am honored and excited to serve as the new CEO of GECAC. Returning to this incredible organization in a leadership role is a privilege and a responsibility that I take to heart. GECAC has a long history of making a difference in the lives of Erie County residents, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated team, partners, and community members to build on that legacy.

As we step into spring, I am especially excited about the opportunities ahead and this year is particularly special as we celebrate 60 years of service to our community. For six decades, GECAC has been a beacon of hope.

One initiative I’m particularly passionate about is the Erie County Earn+Learn Program. This program provides young adults with hands-on work experience, skill development, and mentorship, setting them up for long-term success in the workforce. By investing in our youth, we are investing in the future of Erie County.

Another cornerstone of GECAC’s work is our Area Agency on Aging, which continues to provide vital services to our senior community. Whether it’s helping older adults maintain their independence, connecting them with essential resources, or advocating for their well-being, we are committed to ensuring that Erie County’s aging population receives the care and support they deserve.

I’m also thrilled to share that this year marks the 33rd Annual GECAC Golf Classic! This event is a fantastic way for the community to come together in support of the programs that make a real difference in people’s lives. Whether you’re a golfer or simply want to be part of something special, I encourage you to join us and help strengthen GECAC’s mission.

Community Action is not just a concept; it’s the driving force behind everything we do. It is the reason GECAC continues to stand as a pillar of support, advocacy, and opportunity for those in need.

As we welcome the new season, I invite you to be part of the journey. Whether through volunteering, participating in events, or simply spreading the word about our work, your involvement makes a difference. Together, we can create a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone. Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to the exciting road ahead!

Our Community in Action,

This year, the maximum rebate available is $1,000, and the income limit for both renters and homeowners is $45,000 annually.
