Pathways to Healing will explore Reiki energy healing on Saturday at 10:00

Hi friends,

Some things are easy to see and touch. Others, however, lie beyond the field of our vision and are more difficult to describe. Reiki is one of them. It’s energy healing and, as such, can be felt, be experienced, but not readily seen.

On Saturday, March 1, at 10:00, Pathways to Healing will talk about what Reiki is and is not. How it works. What to expect. You’ll hear from individuals who have both given and received Reiki. Then you’ll have an opportunity to—if you wish—receive a short Reiki energy healing.

If you’ve ever been curious about this ancient practice that is also compatible with Christianity, please stop by.

ORGAN PLUS Concert

The Rhode Island chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present a concert entitled ORGAN-PLUS at Trinity Church at 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 2nd. The concert features area organists, instrumentalists, and singers performing repertoire that features the organ as an accompanying instrument. Following the concert, performers and audience members are invited to a reception in the church hall.

This concert and reception will also serve as a commemoration of the 25th anniversary of our organ's dedication in 1999, having been built following the fire that damaged much of Trinity Church in 1997.

The organ at Trinity Church was built by the Schantz Organ Company of Orrville, Ohio, one of the leading pipe organ builders in the country, founded in 1873. Its bright, “singing” tone and range of sounds (from the quiet, string-toned stops and bubbly flutes to a plangent Oboe stop and bright trumpets), make it an ideal accompanying instrument, with a range of tonal colors that belie its relatively small size.

For further information, please call the church at 401-941-4324 or visit www.trinitycranston.org, and on Facebook @trinitypawtuxet.

2025 Lenten Series

Sometimes we wonder

God are you there?

God are you listening?

When are you going to answer my prayers?

Join us during the Sundays in Lent

as we explore the feelings of unanswered prayer.

Starting March 9th, 6-8pm, we’ll gather in the parish hall for a simple supper: soup, salad and dessert, watch a short video and then discuss our thoughts about the questions raised.

Join us for an honest exploration about some hard questions.

All are welcome. Child care will be provided.

Last Sunday's Sermon

By Mother Susan

No one ever said following Jesus was easy. The gospel is not for the faint of heart. And in two very familiar sayings in this portion of Jesus’ Sermon on the Plain (we heard the beginning last week) we know the challenge it presents. “Love your enemies.” “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
