CHAMBER UPDATES | DECEMBER 2, 2024 | |
Chamber Members-
The end of year is a reminder to me (and it can be for you) that the winter months provide an opportunity for business owners that summer months do not. We typically look forward to holiday celebrations and kids being off school for a couple of weeks. We often look forward to the Bengals playoff run (though not likely this year) and we anticipate our winter travel to a warmer climate. However, none of these things further our business concerns, which is just my point. It is good to have time to recoup and get prepared for 2025; we need that.
As I approach my 5th anniversary as President of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce, I look back fondly at my 35 year business career where leadership roles in various capacities forced me to consider end of year planning that included sales forecasts, marketing plans, budget approvals, and product enhancements. Personnel reviews, tax planning, and resource allocations took place in an orderly fashion for our business concerns. This year, similar but less complex processes are required to plan for our chamber's 11th year of existence, and my guess is that your business requires some level of this planning as well. If we can help find resources to help you in this area, please contact me directly.
At the Leadership Summit being held next Wednesday (Dec. 11th), Randy Wheeler brings us leadership expert John Maxwell's talk "15 Ways to Find Joy in the Journey" which you did not experience if you attended Live2Lead in October. Please register through the link included below and join us on the virtual Zoom call.
While you're at it, take a look at the list of remaining December and January opportunities with the chamber including our upcoming holiday party at Pebble Creek. Make sure to save the date for our Annual Awards Dinner to be held on February 20th at the Donauschwaben Society.

Heroes Sports Park is Cincinnati’s Premier Youth Baseball & Softball Facility
located on Springdale Road across from Corpus Christi Church. Cincinnati's only youth baseball and softball facility featuring five newly turfed, age-appropriate fields. After a major upgrade, the park is better than ever, offering a top-tier environment for youth athletes.
Since 1985, Heroes Sports Park (a 501(c)3 non-profit) has been the heart of our community, honoring local heroes — U.S. Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMS, and Educators. Each field is dedicated
to these professions.
In 2025, we expect to host over 45,000 visitors during our tournament season, bringing teams from both local and out-of-town areas. As we welcome sports families to our park, we’re eager to connect them with local businesses, especially fast-casual restaurants.
As a new Chamber member, we’re excited to partner with local businesses to enhance the experience for our guests. If you're a local restaurant or business email us to connect, heroessportspark.cincinnati@gmail.com

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 11TH
8:30 AM - 9:30 AM VIRTUAL
The LeadershipSummit brings together community leaders for the expressed purpose of creating a learning environment for all chamber members.
This can be a stressful time of year with lots of pressure as we lead at both work and home. At times, the most challenging part of leadership can be enjoying the process.
Join us during this month's Leadership Summit as Randy Wheeler from Wheeler Coaching brings us leadership expert John Maxwell's talk "15 Ways to Find Joy in the Journey" which you did not experience if you attended Live2Lead in October.
After learning from John, Randy will facilitate a discussion so we can learn from one another and think into how to apply some of John's principles to our leadership.
While this is open to all members of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce, guests of the chamber membership are also welcome to register. We will look forward to seeing you on this Zoom call.

It was a wonderful afternoon as President Brigitte Foley shared Mercy McAuley’s exciting new upgrades and offerings at the school. Tours were offered to those in attendance.
