People sometimes don't realize the WORK that goes into an event like CareerFest. We began seriously planning this year's event before Christmas (although we are already thinking about 2026!). We are finally in the home stretch and packing up the coffee urns, water, extension cords, signs and stands, snacks, and everything but the kitchen sink! Kristin deserves a huge THANK YOU for all she does! We also held a training for our exhibitors this week via Zoom and I want to thank Nathaniel Kaelin for sharing that responsibility with me. We will be out of the office on Thursday all day at the High School. It's going to be a great year!

Coming up before we know it will be our 2025 Golf Outing in May. Look for information about registering for that coming very soon. You won't want to miss this awesome day.

Cincinnati Insurance Focus Group

Monday, April 7, 2025 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

On behalf of Cincinnati Insurance, I am reaching out to local businesses to see if they would like to participate in a group discussion/activity here at the Chamber meeting room on Monday 4/7/25 from 11:30am – 1pm. We are seeking businesses with 2 or more owners/ partners and have been in business for at least 1 year.

Cincinnati Insurance will cater lunch and provide $50 Amazon gift cards to each business that participates. This discussion will be focused on how businesses think about, plan for, and deal with risk. Due to limited space, we ask that participation is no more than 2 people per organization.

To be clear, they are NOT selling insurance, and this will not be a sales pitch in any way. The discussion will be very informal, but they are asking that only organizations who purchase and manage their own insurance participate.

Space is limited to 12 participants, so if you are interested, please get registered. 

Starting on February 1, we will be accepting nominations for our Women Mean Business 2025 Awards. If you know a woman who exemplifies our core principles of educate, elevate and empower, please complete the form and let us know!

Awards will be presented at our June Gala luncheon. Watch for more details coming soon!
