JUDGMENTS

The world is often oblivious to the warning judgments that come from God, such as the recent fires in California causing the loss of life and extensive damage to many people and their property, some of which are morally decadent. Floods and destructive hurricanes have also been signs of judgment.  

Believers of Christ have been officially declared by Homeland Security as radical terrorists. Conservative bible-believing Christians are being targeted by our own government and by society in general.

It may not be long until Christians may be imprisoned for speaking out the truth of God’s word. New laws that are being implemented will call these truths hate crimes. Are we ready for that?

You may think that it cannot happen because our U.S. Constitution prohibits it, but our constitution is already being trampled upon. There are voices that want to discard our constitution and write a new, liberal based one.

How are we to respond to the judgments that are forthcoming? First, we need to pray to God and repent of the sins of immorality of our nation, its leaders, and the church. Then, we must pray and praise God for the protection of His children, and trust that God will be faithful to bring us through what is coming.

Repentance and praise are both essential. Repentance evokes God’s mercy. Praise evokes God’s grace toward us.

Do not fear the judgments as they fall upon us. As we focus upon God’s love, we will find power in the Name of Jesus. We will be of sound mind and walk without fear. We will respond from a foundation of love. We will stand upon 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

We do not fear God’s judgments when our hearts are right with God. The judgments are for the unrighteous.

KEEP YOUR CANDLE LIT

There is an old saying, “You can’t burn the candle at both ends.” That is true, but some never light either end!

In Luke 8, Jesus was teaching about the different kinds of soils. In verse 15 the seed fell upon “good ground.” In fact, a lit candle is like seed being planted. It says, “But that [seed] on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”

Immediately after speaking about bringing forth fruit, he said in verse 16, “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but sitteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.”  

We are to be light in the darkness, drawing others to Jesus. If others are to be drawn to God that light cannot be hidden. Shining God’s light is a result of receiving seed into good ground, thus bringing forth fruit.

How do we “shine” for Jesus? It might be a smile to the unlovely. It might be a prayer for the hurting. It might be an encouraging word to one that is facing a trial. Most importantly it might be sharing the gospel. Whatever we do, as unto the Lord, is allowing his light to shine in and through us.

Remember, Jesus is the light of the world, but we are to be the candles that give off that light!

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Just as you must dig for gold below the surface, often we must "dig" into other's lives that seem wasted. Beneath the surface is gold. It might be that all the hurts stem from an issue that happened when they were young. Remember, hurting people hurt people, so don't be so hard on those that you think are beyond help. As the Lord leads, look for something good in that person, and I guarantee that you will find it.

Monday Thought For Today



Most of us have heard various sermons on forgiveness. As I was praying yesterday about how we forgive; I was hearing people say “ he or she hasn’t apologized yet.” As I thought about the relationships we have with family, friends and acquaintances: It occurred to me that no where in the Bible does it say; “do not forgive UNTIL they have apologized for their action or asked for your forgiveness”.

“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

We know how God regularly shows us His GRACE; Although we must admit that we don’t deserve it. On the other hand, we’d have to agree that He also shows us such great MERCY; But we all know it too is way more than we deserve. Oh, and then there are the times we realize just how many BLESSINGS He regularly showers on us with; His GRACE, His LOVE, His MERCY…And so much MORE. Today I’m sure we can all testify and say…Our loving and faithful God is good all the time; And ALL the time our GOD is GOOD!!

Whatever they have done. Take us home to

Thee. Come into our hearts and let this Revival

Be a Revival of forgiveness. Have it be for you.

Bring back America in how it use to be.

God being first in our hearts. God being first,

In the truth. Unblind their eyes from Satan’s,

Lies, chase the darkness out, and replace it

By the light of Christ. Forgiveness, love,

Devotion, kindness, goodness, undying faith.

Come home and live again.
