12-2-2024 Daily Inspiration.jpg

We pray that this newsletter and its contents that we share will help you on your daily journey with Christ, causing you to grow in the ways of the Lord.

The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity. This is why we teach so that you can grow stronger in your faith until unity comes in the body of Christ.

Take what you have learned and share it with others so that we can further the kingdom for Jesus Christ.

THE LIFE OF MOSES – LESSON 34

FAMILY TROUBLES

_____________________

The tabernacle had been set up in the first month (Abib, Nisan) of the second year in the wilderness. It had been dedicated, and now had come the time to continue their journey to Canaan. Numbers 9:15-23 tells us of the cloud by day and the fire by night resting over the tabernacle. As long as the cloud remained over it, they were to remain with their sukkot (temporary hut) and remain encamped. When the cloud lifted, they were to pack up their sukkot and the tabernacle and resume their journey.

Sometimes they remained in one place only a couple of days, or maybe a month or two. Sometimes God would keep them in the same place a year or more. On the twentieth day of the second month, the cloud lifted. They broke camp, left the wilderness of Sinai, and made camp in the wilderness of Paran, and Kadesh-barnea.

A family dispute broke out. Moses’ older siblings Miriam, and Aaron, began to dispute with their baby brother Moses and challenge him. Their initial bone of contention arose over the fact that he had taken another wife, an Ethiopian. This was even as his wife Zipporah’s brother Hobab was traveling with them as a guide as their “eyes.” (Numbers 10:29-31.)

The rift deepened further as they questioned Moses’ authority. They said to him in Numbers 12:2 (my paraphrase), “Do you think that you’re the only one that hears from God? We hear from him also.” In other words, “We are just as good as you, Moses!”

Moses, in his meekness (vs. 3) did not argue with them, but God heard it. God called the three of them to the tabernacle. From the cloud God spoke to them, saying that if there was a prophet among them (to wit, Aaron, Miriam, or any other) that he would speak to them through dreams or visions. However, he would speak mouth to mouth with only Moses.

As a sign of his anger and reproof, God immediately struck Miriam with leprosy. Moses interceded on her behalf. Consequently, she was put out of the camp for seven days after which she was cleansed and returned to camp. They never again challenged Moses. Moses never responded to their attacks with anger or vindictiveness. He left it in God’s hands and God took care of it.

How often have we had people come against us? It feels most severe to us when it is close family or best friends. How do we respond?  Do we let it get to us? Is it hard to let go of it? Yet, we must let go and put them into God’s hand. Yes, it is easier said than done but we must do that and not hold ill feelings (unforgiveness) toward them. Ask God to give you the grace for it. By his grace, help, and strength you can do it.

AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART

________________________

As we look at the life of David, from a boy shepherd to the King of Israel, we see something very significant. No matter the level of his life, he had a heart towards God.

After Saul was removed from being king, we learn from Acts 13:22 about David’s relationship. It says, “And when he [God] had removed him [King Saul], he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”

This scripture was a quote from 1 Samuel 13:14 where Samuel spoke to King Saul and said, “But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.”

One that is after God’s own heart is not free from making mistakes. David made many mistakes, but the difference between him and King Saul was a repentant heart. Saul played the blame game and did not repent before it was too late.

One that is in a constant state of repentance is a person that is seeking after God’s own heart. This does not mean that you sorrow over your sin all day long. It means when you do sin, that your heart lets you know, and you immediately repent. No one is free of sin on this side of heaven. It is what we do about that sin that makes one after God’s heart or not.

A continuous state of non-repentance will cause one’s heart to become hardened, and if not dealt with, eventually it will not hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. We should remember that a heart towards God will always want God’s will in their lives and that means to have a heart soft enough to receive correction.

I think one of David’s greatest writings can be found in Psalm 51. Read it and you will see a man after God’s own heart.

A PROPHETIC WORD

AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS

There is restlessness in my children, and it comes because of their focus. Oh, my children if you take your eyes off of me then you will be instantly in a state of restlessness, for there is no peace outside of the peace that I give to you my child. When you focus on those things that are around you, the distractions, the deviant events, and the soon coming events that I have told you were coming, you will find that your peace lifts. Yet, if you leave them aside and come into my presence you will not feel restless. For many are hesitant to do the things I have called them to do, knowing that there are many obstacles. This is causing you a restlessness that only can be changed through focusing on me and my promises. Come aside often, even many times an hour and you will quickly feel my peace. For in this season there are many elements both physically and spiritually that will distract you if you focus on them. There are many things that I want to tell you, my child, but you must set aside your fear and know that I will be with you through all the days ahead and chaos that is coming. There is a season of war coming, but as of old, I was with my people, and I will be with you. Trust me now more than ever that my plan for you is good. I will reveal the plan as you sit at my feet and listen. Turn off those things that are bringing confusion and restlessness and come aside with me. I will bring you peace when you do. Now, know for certain that I will never abandon those that spend time with me, for they are like David of old, a man after my heart. Now take a deep breath, let go of the cares and come aside with me saith the Lord.

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

You can know that our faithful God is turning your disapproval and your disappointments into your…Approved acceptance and divine appointments. Yes, what has once worked against you will soon begin to work for you. Now there’s no need for you to get discouraged during the heat of the battle; But look deep within you, around you and soon you’ll see that God is preparing you to move from DESPONDENCY and DEFEAT to EXHILARATION and VICTORY. No, it’s NOT time for you to RETIRE; But it IS time for you to REFIRE. So get up, move up and receive what God has coming to you; For it’s time for you to start rejoicing in Jesus Name…As better days, better ways and better times are just ahead. Now, if you are really ready to move out and over; Past all the pain into the gain of the winning side…SHOUT AMEN

Monday Prayer

Lord, shield us with Your heavenly armor, guarding us against the fiery darts of the evil one. Place a hedge of protection around our lives and family, rendering powerless any spiritual attack. Grant us the discernment to recognize the signs of any evil altar operating in our lives. Open our spiritual eyes to see the hidden works of darkness, and empower us to resist them. Break the chains that bind us to any generational curses or evil practices. Release us from the grip of any ancestral or spiritual ties that seek to hinder our progress and well-being.

We declare victory over the plans of the enemy. Let Your light expose and scatter every form of darkness, bringing forth triumph in our lives and family. Amen!!
