You know it, I'm Thankful Beyond Words.
Often, my patients will tell me that they can't imagine how I do what I do. Some patients focus on the "things that are wrong". And sometimes those issues like cancer carry more gravitas.
There will always be stressors, imbalances, deficiencies, toxicities in every single person throughout our lives. Though we benefit from identifying specifically what the issue is,
I don't allow that to take center stage. It's knowing we have the answers, the solutions, the interventions, the hope~ that is My Focus and Dedication.
On my birthday, my dear soul sister Janean, blessed me with a Precious Book ~The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy.
"Sometimes All you hear about is the hate, but there is more love in this world than you can possibly imagine."
One evening as I gazed at my items full of memories of Basilico, I was drawn to the word Love. I recently lost a patient to metastatic cancer. His last text to me was the following:
"Dr. Val Thank you for everything. I love you but I'm going home. You are the only one that ever tried to help me."
That sentiment is my greatest reward and for that I give Thanks. I loved his Fire for Life and his Willpower.

Back to the book, "Is your glass half empty, or half full?" asked the Mole.

Made In Italy. They are glass masters. What are you drinking out of these days? A spirit of Gratitude I hope.
