Dear Friends,
Grace and peace to you in our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.
This week, our faith-to- life application homework comes from Jesus “calming the storm.” When we find ourselves facing a storm, let’s choose to lean into and trust Jesus’ words, “ Peace, be still.” When facing a storm, may we choose faith in Jesus rather than internalizing the storm (with associated worry, stress, anxiety and feelings of powerlessness). During this past Monday, this faith-to-life application homework offered me the most peaceful drive across the Bay Bridge ever experienced! Thanks be to God!
You are welcome to attend Calvary’s Lenten study based on The Way by Adam Hamilton. The evening study meets on Monday nights at 6:30 PM in the parlor led by me. Nancy Mills leads the daytime study on Wednesdays in Room 119 at 10 AM. Books are provided. Feel free to join at any time.
During this Lenten season, my hopeful prayer is our faith is growing (individually and as a church family). As we continue practicing Walking With Jesus, we’re experiencing life’s challenges through a different perspective: we are not alone. Truly, God is graciously guiding us all along the way!
This Sunday is the Fifth Sunday of Lent. We’ll celebrate Holy Communion as we continue with our Lenten worship series Walking With Jesus: The Least, the Last, and the Lost from John 4:3-10. See you in worship!
Grace & Peace,
Pastor Linda
