MARCH STUDENT STAR

Congratulations to Shakthi Rajesh for making it as a March 2025 Student Star! FSU recognizes accomplished students from all over the university, and Shakthi is a student of the CRE!

Shakthi Rajesh is a Computational Biology major graduating Spring 2026. Rajesh's research, funded by an IDEA Grant, focuses on investigating the genomics of sex-based venom variation in the Florida bark scorpion. He aims to discover the genetic factors that contribute to their role in the ecosystem. He is also the founder of the Association of Herpetologists and Entomologists at FSU, a student organization dedicated to educating the public about reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Rajesh’s goal is to reduce the fear associated with these creatures and promote a deeper appreciation for their roles in our environment.
