Love, joy, peace, patience, self-control—and this week, kindness. At first glance, kindness might seem like the gentlest of the fruits we’ve explored. But as many of us know, it’s far from the easiest to live out.
Kindness can be understood as choosing to act for the good of others—especially when they test our patience. In other words, it’s showing grace to those who might get on our last nerve. We all have people in our lives like that. The question is: how do we respond?
Throughout this series, we’ve been exploring how the fruit of the Spirit helps us navigate our relationships with greater grace and wisdom. These qualities—these fruits—are not something we produce on our own. They are evidence of the Spirit’s presence and work within us. We don’t manufacture them—we invite them.
So, let me ask you: how are you doing? Have you been leaning on the Spirit’s help in your relationships? Are you paying attention to those gentle nudges and quiet promptings in your heart?
This Sunday, we’ll turn our focus to the fruit of kindness. Come join us as we discover together how kindness—real, Spirit-led kindness—can transform the way we relate to others.
We’ll see you there.
~ Rev. Ray
| | Thank You from Pinellas Central Elementary School | |
On Tuesday, April 1st, a representative from Pinellas Central Elementary School came to pick up the table full of donations from King of Peace for their clothing closet. They also brought a card from the school that read, "King of Peace Church, we super appreciate your support with donations! Thank you for making a difference in our community!"
King of Peace, thanks for all the ways you give back! You are always an extension of God's hands, feet, and heart in our world!
| | Our Food Pantry's shelves are looking a little bare, so we are in need of any kind of non-perishable food donations this month! However, the specific requests from our Food Pantry Team are Peanut Butter, Crackers, and Pasta Sauce. If you are able to donate, please bring them anytime and place them in the donation cart in the foyer. | | See the Gospels come alive! On Wednesdays at 7 pm, we will gather together to watch one episode of season one of the TV series called "The Chosen", a groundbreaking historical drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, followed by some discussion. You'll encounter the Jesus story in a brand new way, through the eyes of those who knew him! You can watch a trailer of "The Chosen" here. | |
Don't forget to pick up your Lent Offering container. Every year we collect a special offering during the season of Lent to go to a special cause. In the past, they partnered with places like Kenya, Eastern Europe, Jamaica, and Central America. To find out more about this organization, you can click here.
Bring in your Lent Offerings on Easter Sunday morning, April 20th.
