THE NEW JERUSALEM

When God brings destruction to the earth and recreates it, it will not eliminate our habitation, our dwelling place. There is yet in the future the New Jerusalem where we will walk on streets of gold and dwell in our Lord’s presence.

Ezekiel 48:30-35 speaks of a place which we would identify as being the same as the New Jerusalem described in Revelation chapters 21 and 22. We sometimes call it the “city built foursquare.”

The thrones of Father God and the Lamb of God are located there. The light of Jesus lightens up all heaven and the New Jerusalem, and we, the Redeemed, shall dwell there with him. We, here on earth, cannot even imagine how glorious that will feel. I have had just a little taste of the glory of God last year, and I cannot even begin to adequately describe it.

What a glorious and wonderful experience God has in store for those who love Him and whose Lord is Jesus. But you must believe it and receive it by faith. Our greatest earthly experience cannot compare with it.

When I experienced that “little taste of heaven” last year, my wife entered the room, and she could literally see the glory of God all over my countenance. It lasted but a couple of moments, but it was a clear visitation of the shekinah glory of God upon me. But in the New Jerusalem, it shall remain upon us for all the ages to come.

What a wonderful future our Father has in store for all His children of faith.

THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT

Years ago, there was a comedian by the name of Flip Wilson that coined the phrase, “The Devil made me do it.” It became quite popular, and often when someone messed up, they quoted his phrase. It seemed funny, but in actuality, it became a way to not deal with sin.

In 1 John 1:8-9 it says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

It may have been a comedy act for Flip Wilson, but the truth is this: God hates sin! The blame game has been around since the Garden of Eden. Eve blamed the devil for disobeying God, and the blame game has been going on ever since.

In 1 Corinthians 10:13 we are given a promise when tempted to sin. It says, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it"

Yes, we will be tempted, but God gives us the way out of it if we follow His lead. Jesus died for the sin of mankind, so He does not take it lightly when we make a joke of sin. He shed his innocent blood for that sin, and that is the ultimate price to pay – death. He did it so we can be found “not guilty” in the courtroom of heaven.

Do you have godly sorrow over your sin? Have you repented? If not, then your heart will eventually become hardened to sin, calloused by the continuous lack of repentance. It is not a good place to be because legally it opens the door for Satan to come in and bring destruction.  

Do not make a joke of sin, God doesn’t. Live a live of surrender to God, knowing when you are tempted that He has a better plan for you than to give in to that temptation. Live a holy, crucified life for Jesus.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Always be the first one to forgive, and get things right, even if you are the one that was right. Peace with each other comes hard sometimes, but it is better to make peace than to live at war over things that are of such little value. God will bless you for being the peacemaker.

Good morning Lord!! Thank you for another day to honor You! With hearts full of love we come to worship and praise You for Who You are. Today is a new day and we acknowledge that you are our creator and savior. Bless us now Father as we go our different paths and allow others to see You through us.

Just know that none can go THROUGH the FIRE and REMAIN the SAME…It just won’t happen. Now this fire I’m talking about is the adversity, persecution and the fiery trials that God allows us all to go through at some point in time for a season…And most always for a good reason. It’s true that real victory and lasting change will only come…When we make it all the way THROUGH those trials of adversity. Yes, there’ll be times that you will have tears flowing and hearts hurting...Oh, but STILL you can make it THROUGH the fire you’re now in or that you will soon be approaching. Now it’s sad to say but yes, there’ll always be those who will fail to remember the lessons they learned while IN the fires of adversity…And guess what? They will go THROUGH it again, again and AGAIN. You can know that when you go all the way T-H-R-O-U-G-H it; You will be THROUGH with it and THEN and only then will real CHANGE come to you. Yes, it’s then you’ll experience true VICTORY over those fiery trials and treacherous situations. Just be sure and not forget the KEY word for us all is THROUGH. Today is the day you need to determine in your heart that you WILL be a FINISHER and that…You will get THROUGH it…So you can get TO it. Just remember it’s only then that you’ll be totally THROUGH with it. I pray God bless you and keep you as you walk with peace in your heart…All the way THROUGH any trial that may come your way on this journey called life.
