OEP Deadline

If you missed the December 15 deadline for January 1 coverage you still have time! The individual and family open enrollment period ends January, 15 2025. Plan changes made after December 15 will have a February, 1 2025 effective date.

Important Information Regarding Autopayments

Our office was recently notified by the Washington Health Benefit Exchange that automatic premium payments, set up through the carrier must be re-established for the new plan year and be updated when a new policy is selected with the same insurance carrier.

To avoid a disruption in health plan benefits or cancellation for non-payment we strongly encourage those that are signed up for autopayments in 2024 and continuing coverage with the same carrier to verify reoccurring payments are set up for the 2025 plan year. We also advise checking to ensure that January premium has drafted. Reoccurring payments and billing information are accessed from the respective insurance carrier's member portals. This would be the secure online account that was created after the initial enrollment.

You can also call the customer service number listed on the back of your member ID card to confirm autopayment details. Our office can assist with some billing questions but does not have the ability to verify if reoccurring payments are set up for the next plan year or if action will be needed to re-establish autopayments.

Renewal information

For those that have coverage through the Washington Healthplanfinder please log into your account and review your 2025 plan and rate information if you have not done so already. Some Healthplanfinder customers have been automatically mapped to a new carrier and plan for the 2025 plan year because of plan discontinuations. If mapped to a new plan it may not be the same plan design, include the same providers or cover the same medications. We have also seen some Healthplanfinder customers needing to take action to continue with advanced premium tax credits for the upcoming year.

Important 2025 Market Changes

LifeWise Plan Discontinuations & Plan Mapping

LifeWise Health Plan of Washington's marketplace plans will be exiting Clallam, Jefferson and Mason counties. The LifeWise Essential Bronze HSA plan will be discontinued in all counties. Some LifeWise members have received confusing or conflicting correspondence indicating the plan will renew. LifeWise has indicated that some members residing in these counties received renewal information in error. If you reside in Clallam, Jefferson or Mason counties or are enrolled on the Bronze HSA plan your plan will be discontinued. Please log into your Healthplanfinder account and review your renewal information and make any desired changes during the open enrollment period.

Plan discontinuations do not pertain to LifeWise Grandfathered plans that were obtained carrier direct. LifeWise Grandfathered plans will continue in Clallam, Jefferson and Mason Counties. Grandfathered plans are plans that are not required to meet all of the provisions of the Affordable Care Act and are not open to new sales.

2024 1095-A Tax Forms Reminder that 2024 1095-A tax forms should be available by late January 2025 and can be accessed by logging into your Healthplanfinder account and looking under the message center.
