The Office of Global Initiative & Experiential Learning is a community engaged learning initiative that prepares undergraduates to be leaders of nonprofit and public organizations. Through the integration of course readings, classroom discussions, lectures and community engaged learning projects, this dynamic field-study challenges participants to broaden their theoretical and practical understanding of community, nonprofit and public organizations committed to sustainable living, education, public health and community wellness.

This transformative program, led by Associate Professor of Art History Alex Dika Seggerman, offers an immersive experience into Egypt’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Students will have the chance to delve into the ancient wonders of the region, engage with local experts, and deepen their understanding of art, history, and archaeology.

Dr. Jason Bird


In the Belize Spring Alternative Program, led by Dr. Jason Bird, students will engage with key stakeholders from the University of Belize and Ministry of Sustainable Development and Climate Change while exploring sustainable energy, organic farming, community resilience, and leadership. This immersive experience offers the opportunity to learn about local cultural practices and sustainable development initiatives, while contributing to impactful community projects.

Led by Dr. Bran Murphy, this program offers a unique opportunity to explore constitutional history at Oxford, including the Bodleian Library and other cultural sites. Hosted by the Quil Project at Pembroke College, participants will engage in social change and leadership, becoming Social Change Agents and joining the International Leadership Exchange Alumni network.
