RU-N Students Enhances Study Abroad and Research Partnerships in India and Nepal: In December 2024, a team of students, led by the Office of Global Initiatives and Experiential Learning, traveled to India and Nepal to expand their local-to-global S.T.E.A.M initiatives. As part of their efforts, they installed two solar suitcases at the Kevin Rohan Foundation, located in a rural area of Kathmandu.

RU-N Students Deepens Connections Through Transformative Field Study Expedition in Maine: In January 2024, a group of eleven Rutgers Newark students traveled to Marlow, Maine, for an immersive experiential learning program. Throughout their stay, they participated in activities centered around sustainable forestry, eco-immersion, and outdoor expeditions, gaining hands-on experience in environmental stewardship.

RU-N Students and OGIEL Staff Present S.T.E.A.M. Project at Symposium: On February 28, 2025, two RU-N students and OGIEL staff presented the Local to Global S.T.E.A.M. Project at the Dr. Paul Shane Policy Symposium. This We Care Solar initiative provides sustainable energy solutions by distributing solar-powered "S.T.E.A.M. Suitcases" to schools in underserved communities, promoting solar education and global service in regions like Tanzania, Nicaragua, and Belize.
