Mock Trial State Finals

The Mercy High School Mock Trial Team excelled this season, standing out among 72 teams competing in Regional events throughout the state. Mercy clinched the title at the Wayne County Regional—one of eight Regional events—earning one of just 12 bids to the State Finals.

At the State tournament, our team—Seniors Isabella Casab, Addison Hannah, Kayla Kilano, and Alaina Mundt; Juniors Stella Coe, Gabby Owens, Peyton Robinson, and Mya Skrabut; Sophomores Isabela Romero and Ava Skrabut; and Freshman Ella Cole—competed in three intense trials. We won two, and even in our only loss, secured 1 of 3 ballots.

Finishing 5th overall, Mercy missed the Final Four by a single ballot, a razor-thin margin that underscores our strength. Special recognition goes to Alaina Mundt and Stella Coe, who earned Outstanding Attorney Awards, and Addison Hannah and Ella Cole, who received Outstanding Witness Awards, for their exceptional performances.

Coached by Martha Kreucher, Morgan Schut, and Hannah Juday ’19, we’re incredibly proud of our team’s skill, determination, and spirit. Congratulations to all members and coaches for an amazing season!
