Parish Reconciliation Service

The Chosen Last Supper Part II

Come experience The Chosen: The Last Supper Part II on the big screen with our parish community! Gather with friends, be inspired, and journey deeper into the Passion of Christ through this powerful cinematic experience.

Pancake Breakfast

Flipping for a good cause! Teens heading to Catholic Heart Work Camp this Summer will serve a yummy pancake and sausage breakfast to raise money for their Summer Mission Trip. Drop by Shea Hall between 8am and Noon to enjoy a delicious, homemade breakfast.

A Journey of Faith! ✝️ Our OCIA candidates; Victoria, Matthew, John, Jessica, Lauren and Alyssa, will celebrate the Scrutinies over the next three weeks as they prepare to complete their sacraments at this year’s Easter Vigil. Let’s continue to keep them in our prayers as they take these final steps in their faith journey. 🙏✨

Palm Sunday

Our regular Sunday schedule will be observed on Palm Sunday and distribution of Palms will take place at all Masses:

Please note, at 10:30am Mass, we will begin in front of Queen of the Rosary School and joyfully process into church—weather permitting—just as they did in Jerusalem!

Deacon Inquiry Evening Meetings

Have you ever considered the call to be a Deacon of the Catholic Church? Know someone who has considered the call? Join (or tell someone about) one of four Inquiry Evenings:

• May 13, 7 p.m. at St. Alexander Parish, 7025 W. 126th St., Palos Heights
• June 11 7 p.m. via Zoom

The sessions will provide an overview of the Deacon Formation Program, the application process and information on the ministry of a deacon. Men, single or married, are invited to attend. A concert of Polish & American patriotic & folk music in honor of May 3rd/Polish Constitution Day and the 1,000th anniversary of the coronation of Poland's first king, Boleslaw Chrobry – performed by the Lira Singers, accompanied by the Lira Chamber Players. It also includes a bit of poetry and music of Frederic Chopin, Stanislaw Moniuszko and Ignacy Jan Paderewski.

Annual Catholic Appeal: Together We Bring Hope

Thank you for your support!

This year’s theme for the Annual Catholic Appeal is Together we bring hope. It echoes the theme of the Holy Year Pilgrims of Hope. It also resonates with our efforts of renewal in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Contributions to the Appeal are an effective way to bring hope into our world, especially to those in need.

A portion of donations above our parish goal is returned to us and used for special parish projects. Thanks to past generosity, we've upgraded sound systems, security cameras and installed narthex screens. We'll soon begin restroom upgrades at both churches with proceeds from last year’s campaign!

This year’s rebate helps upgrade our playground, used year-round by both parish and school—let’s make it happen together!

Volunteer for Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLW)

Sundays Through May

Looking for a fun way to serve during Mass? From September to May, we invite kids to share in a child-based Liturgy of the Word, alternating between the 9:15am Mass (SJE) and 10:30am Mass (QR). We need volunteers (teens or adults) to assist our CLW Leader and help guide our little ones to their designated worship space and back. It's a great opportunity to earn service hours while making a big impact! 🙌
