Center news

RNA Translated 2025 published in wide release!

We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest issue of RNA Translated, the center's annual magazine and brief report.

The 2025 issue, The Power of Collaborative RNA Science, focuses on the vital role of cross-disciplinary collaboration, bringing together foundational researchers, clinicians and administrators, and supportive centers, institutes and initiatives at the U-M, to unlock mysteries in RNA biology and realize the full potential of RNA therapeutics.

An interactive version is available to view and download online now, and printed copies by request.

We are still accepting feedback on this year's RNA Symposium!

Proposed NIH budget cuts could impact pediatric patients with rare diseases

Proposed cuts to research funding distributed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) could have dire consequences for the treatment outcomes of patients with rare and complex diseases. Doctors, including Dr. John Prensner, a pediatric oncologist at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, are raising alarms about the troubling implications of these budget cuts and the lives of children that hang in the balance.
