Cast your vote: KCNA 2025 election ballots due April 1st! | |
KCNA elections are fast approaching! Ballots are due by April 1st, and there are several important positions open, including President, Treasurer, five Board Members and three Nominating Committee roles.
Be sure to review the candidate biographies available online at kcnurses.org under the Members/Board tab before casting your vote. Voting is electronic this year. WSNA members will receive a link to your e-ballot via Survey Monkey.

The deadline for 2025 scholarship applications has now passed and the KCNA Scholarship Committee is in the process of reviewing submissions.
This year, we received over 60 applications from nursing students across 14 diverse nursing programs. The committee will complete the selection process and notify applicants of their status in April 2025.

Each year, KCNA proudly honors exceptional nurses during National Nurses Month with this prestigious award. The Shining Star Nurse Award recognizes nurses who demonstrate outstanding practice, make significant contributions to the profession, or have a meaningful impact within their community.
Honorees will be celebrated at the KCNA Annual Gala in May 2025. To submit a nominate, click here to complete an application.

The Mary Mahoney Professional Nurses Organization (MMPNO) is excited to announce the upcoming 76th Anniversary Scholarship Luncheon, which will be held on April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the DoubleTree Suites Southcenter. This year’s event, themed "Unstoppable Spirit," will celebrate excellence in nursing and honor the next generation of nurses. The luncheon supports MMPNO’s scholarship fund, providing financial assistance to nursing students pursuing their education. KCNA member to speak at UW Go Global | |
Join the University of Washington School of Nursing Center for Global Health Nursing on March 14 at 12:30pm for their annual event, focusing on women’s health. This event will include a catered lunch, presentations from global health researchers and rising stars, and poster displays from Global Health Nursing Certificate students and 2024 study abroad participants.
KCNA member, Dr. Nancy Woods, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor and Dean Emeritus, will share her extensive research on women’s health, including perimenstrual symptoms, menopause, and healthy aging. Dr. Woods, a “Living Legend” recognized by the American Academy of Nursing, has led groundbreaking studies and initiatives throughout her distinguished career.
