The 2025 winter season at Cottonwood Palo Verde is quickly beginning to wind down. Our facilities are extremely busy with Spring Break visitors, winter visitors and our year-round residents. Should a homeowner want to purchase a ticket, play a round of golf, make a dinner reservation or attend a Group Fitness class, our staff is ready and willing to provide those services. For general questions, please contact our Homeowner Services staff at the Administration building and they can point you in the right direction. The phone number is 480-895-3550 and the email admin@sunlakes2.com.
The annual cycle of general administration of the Association is also in full swing. Recently, the Board Election was conducted with Pat Duncan and Jean Nelson being elected to three-year terms. They will be announced tomorrow at the Annual Board Meeting to be held in the San Tan Ballroom at 3:00pm. In addition, outgoing Board Members Glenn Martinson and Bud Jenssen will be honored. The Annual Meeting will also feature a General Manager’s Report and a message from your Board President, Len Horst.
Finally, the community is in the middle of a Special Election. Two items are being considered by all the homeowners in HOA#2. The first item on the ballot deals with a recent change in State Law for authority to control parking within an HOA. A YES vote will continue the HOA parking regulations on large vehicles and RV’s. A NO vote will give authority to local government on this type of parking.
The second item on the current ballot is the vote on a Special Assessment to fund a portion of the Cottonwood Pool Project. Voting will end on Wednesday, April 2. A YES vote will allow the Board to assess each lot a $635 fee. A NO vote will deny the Special Assessment and table the project until it can be reconsidered.
For additional information on both items, please visit our website at https://www.cottonwoodpaloverde.com/CWPool-RoadwayElection.html.
