March 25th, 1:00-3:30pm

Passport Check Days are fast-paced and fun-filled and a great way to volunteer at school. As a checker, you'll have the opportunity to work with students from first to fifth grade quizzing them on their geography knowledge. Our volunteers take turns bringing snacks for the teachers and volunteers. Sign up here.

Please indicate in the comments section if you need to come late or leave early, or are a first time checker. If you sign-up for a slot and can't come to check, please take yourself off the sign-up or let us know at passport@puestadelsolpta.org. Thanks!

Academic Challenge is BACK!

Academic Challenge is back! This is a free enrichment program for all students in K-5 at Puesta del Sol. This is an optional, non-competitive program for students to challenge themselves, and foster a love of learning and exploration beyond the classroom. Activities can be completed in Spanish or English. Each student can earn an Academic Challenge Award and/or the Principal's Medal depending on what activities are completed. Awards will be granted at a school-wide assembly in June.

The challenges have been updated and some are different or NEW. Check out the PTA website for more information!

Bellevue PTSA Council’s Spring Into Reading kicks off in March 2025!

Join us as we celebrate the joy of reading and highlight the importance of literacy with all elementary students across all 16 BSD elementary schools!

Click here to learn more about the program and to RSVP for the Author Talk with Donna Sandstrom!

During March 24-28, families are encouraged to donate new or gently used books to spread the joy of reading by giving children in our community access to high quality print books.

Please consider graphic novels or refer to the BSD-recommended list (priority for lists starting with “dia," AICL, APALA, BCALA) to ensure books are appropriate. Books should be for 5-11yr old elementary readers and may be in any language. Drop book donations to the box in your school office.

You may also make a donation to purchase books for the Book Drive.  Bellevue PTSA Council is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization - donations are eligible for tax deductions and corporate matching (if applicable).

Thank you for your generosity and commitment to the importance of literacy for all children in our community!
