Our area is full of talented teens. See the Teen Art Show winners and other fine artworks, either at Fredericksburg Branch or online. Teens who like to express themselves in verse can enter the Claudia Emerson Teen Poetry Contest, from 4/1-4/15. Both the Teen Art Show and Teen Poetry Contest feature cash prizes generously provided by the Friends of the Library.

Children in grades K-6 can sign up to practice reading aloud to a therapy dog with our faithful friends from Blue Gray Therapy Dogs. The dogs and their handlers also visit for Time with a Therapy Dog, a chance for teens and adults with disabilities, accompanied by their caregivers, to spend some time one-on-one with a gentle pup.
Do some of your family members have fur, feathers, or scales? Come by Fredericksburg Branch on 4/4 for Pet Fest--a chance for both beginning and experienced adult pet owners to learn something new and enjoy fun activities!
