As we approach our March 31 fiscal year end, the Canadian Lymphedema Framework reflects on a year of progress—progress made possible by supporters like you. Together, we’ve taken meaningful steps toward advancing lymphedema care, awareness, and research. Yet, our work is far from over.

The Government of Canada has announced an extension for the 2024 charitable donation tax deadline due to disruptions caused by a four-week Canada Post strike.

Donors now have until February 28, 2025, to make contributions that qualify for 2024 tax credits. This measure is intended to help charities recover from the decline in donations that occurred during the postal disruption.

We Need Your Help

Help us demand an exemption from tariffs for medical compression garments

To everyone who has signed and shared this petition—thank you! Your support is making a difference!

We now have 2,000+ signatures between our English and French petitions calling on the Canadian government to exempt medical compression garments from the proposed 25% retaliatory tariffs.

But our fight isn’t over. These tariffs threaten lifesaving, medically necessary garments that lymphedema, lipedema, and venous disease patients across Canada rely on—garments that are not made here and are already costly without this added burden. They also threaten the businesses that supply these essential products, driving up costs even further.

We need to keep the momentum going! Please continue to share this petition and urge others to sign. More importantly, take the next step: write or email the government officials listed on the petition and let them know why these tariffs must be stopped. Every voice matters.
