Happy November!
We are enjoying this season of giving thanks! This month our families spent time together on Thanksgiving Day fellowshipping over delicious food in their Habitat homes. We are excited about the three Home Dedication Ceremonies that we held this month. It is so heartwarming to hear our families express their gratitude for the blessing of a new home to call their own. It is so important that we continue to work with lawmakers regarding the housing crisis. I had the opportunity to present at the CT NAACP State Conference 59th Convention in Hartford this month regarding the housing crisis in Connecticut where we are short over 95,000 units of housing that are affordable and available to low-income residents. US Senators Dick Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, in addition to State elected officials, were in attendance. They are continuously working on housing solutions. We appreciate your commitment to ensuring that we continue to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to as many families as possible through our high quality, life-changing Homeownership Program that builds strength, stability, and self-reliance.
Thank you for investing your time, talent, and treasure in the work that we do!
At Habitat CFC, we put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Blessings!

Celebrating New Beginnings:
November Home Dedications

November was a month of joy and new beginnings as the Family Services Department proudly celebrated the dedication of three beautiful Habitat homes. These milestones mark the culmination of countless hours of hard work, determination, and the unwavering support of our community, volunteers, and staff.
The first dedication honored Jazmin Mejia and her family, who now call 111 Park Street home in Bridgeport, CT. Friends, family, and supporters gathered to celebrate this special moment and acknowledge Jazmin’s commitment to achieving homeownership. Her determination and resilience throughout the process are truly inspiring.

Next, we celebrated with Zinatou Agrignan and her family at their new home located at 146 Holly Street, Bridgeport, CT. The dedication ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments as Zinatou expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to provide a stable and secure home for her loved ones. Her story is a testament to the power of community and perseverance.
Finally, Kathleen Therrien and her family were welcomed into their new home at 151 Holly Street, Bridgeport, CT. The celebration was a joyful occasion, filled with smiles, laughter, and the shared excitement of a dream fulfilled. Kathleen’s journey to homeownership serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration to others working toward their goals.

These dedications are not just about houses; they are about building homes, strengthening families, and creating a sense of community. Each family has worked diligently to complete their partnership equity hours, attend homeowner workshops, and fulfill their responsibilities as Habitat homeowners. Their success would not have been possible without the collective effort of our Habitat team, volunteers, donors, and supporters.
As we close out the year, these three families remind us of the impact Habitat CFC has in our community and the life-changing power of safe, affordable housing. We are grateful for everyone who played a role in making these dreams a reality.
Congratulations to Jazmin, Zinatou, Kathleen, and their families! We look forward to seeing you thrive in your new homes.
Stay tuned for more stories of hope and transformation in the months to come. Together, we continue to build a stronger, brighter future for all.
