Catholic Charities Infant & Toddler Donations Drive - Next Week!

Each year, the BCHS community supports Catholic Charities through their Christmas Store, and this year we’re focusing on helping infants and toddlers. Donations of new, unwrapped infant and toddler clothes, toys, diapers, and other essentials are greatly appreciated. The drive runs from December 2–6. Students can drop off items at Door 5 or Door 10 before school.

Donations will also be accepted during Christmas on Crittenden on the evening of Friday, December 6.

Brooke Nichole Lahr Scholarship for International Missions Work

The Brooke Nichole Lahr Scholarship for International Missions, an Advisor Fund through the Indianapolis Archdiocese, supports young adults in funding their first mission trip abroad. Established by friends and family of Brooke Nichole Lahr, a St. Gabriel Church parishioner, the fund honors her legacy by enabling others to continue her work. Since its inception in 2014, the scholarship has helped 66 young adults embark on their first international mission trips.

Click here to learn more about Brooke's mission and to apply for the scholarship. Scholarships are need-based and intended to supplement, not fully cover, trip costs. Applicants must be 15–24 years old and planning their first mission trip. The application deadline is January 20, 2025.

Staff Cookie & Snack Bar - December 10

BCHS Boys Soccer Program Makes History

Congratulations to the Bishop Chatard Boys Soccer Program on an incredible season—the most successful in school history! The team achieved a school-record 17 wins, secured their first conference championship, made their first City Finals appearance since 2006, earned their second Sectional Championship, claimed their first Regional Championship, and advanced to the Semi-State for the first time.

Fifteen BCHS players made the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Academic All State Team including; LJ Deypalubos, Jude Forestal, Jack Ryan, Andrew Taylor, Cooper Teeple, Vikas Walling, Lorenzo DeVettori, Reiley Kumler, Matthew Marrano, Nicholas Marrano, Marcus Monachino, Cash Moore, Tommy O'Gara, Alex Paz, and John Reynolds.

Other accolades included:

• ISCA First Team All District and 3rd Team All State: Vikas Walling
• ISCA Second Team All District: Tommy O'Gara
• All Circle City Conference Team: Tommy O'Gara, Bryan Rodriguez, and Vikas Walling
• All City Team: Cash Moore, Tommy O'Gara, and Vikas Walling

The Indy Star ALL-USA Central Indiana Super Team included the following BCHS players:

Infant & Toddler Donations

We will be collecting baby items for our Catholic Charities Drive that evening. Please consider donating essentials such as diapers, wipes, and onesies. Look for labeled collection bins at Door #10.

Seniors are asked to turn in their cap/gown and graduation product order forms and deposits in the cafeteria during lunch periods. Or, you can place orders online through Herff Jones using promo code 2025GRAD.

Class of 2029 - Application Deadline is Next Week



Do you have a current 8th grader who would like to attend Bishop Chatard High School? Please be sure to submit their application by Thursday, December 5. All completed applications received by the deadline will receive an admissions decision by December 31, 2024.
