Dear Holy Name Families,

The glimpse of spring has been a welcome sight. Let's hope it lasts. On the Friday before break, we announced a big batch of Eagle recipients. Those awards helped us fill our bulletin board. To celebrate, next Friday will be a casual day. We are already on our way to filling it again - we had 14 recipients receive Eagles this week. Recipients were announced during morning assembly and they are listed in the Eagle Awards section below.

Next week, we will celebrate a School Mass on Ash Wednesday marking the beginning of Lent. The 4th grade will be our hosts. Mass begins at 8:45 am in the upper Church. Parents and families are invited to attend.

We look forward to tomorrow's basketball games and activities. I hope those attending have a great time at tomorrow evening's "Me and My Guy" dance as well. Enjoy the weekend.

Best regards,

Mr. Daniel Chisholm

Principal

Moments Captured this Week at HNPS

Fourth Graders Dive into Fractions with a Fun Activity!

The fourth graders are currently exploring the world of fractions. As part of their review, they engaged in a "Getting to Know You" math activity. Each student received a circle divided into eight segments and followed Mrs. Gagnon's detailed instructions to create a personalized representation of their circle. It's clear that they are truly grasping the concept of fractions.

Dentist, Dr. Dewey, came to Read to Us!

K1 students had a special visit from Dr. Dewey, she shared stories about the Tooth Fairy and the importance of keeping our teeth clean and healthy. The kids were engaged and answered questions about dental care with enthusiasm! To top it off, each student received a new toothbrush to take home. Thank you, Dr. Dewey, for such a fun and educational experience!

HNPS third graders are exploring the wonders of Space as they learn about the amazing discoveries of Galileo! To celebrate their learning, the students created their very own constellations inspired by their unique body images and stances.
