Help Spread Holiday Cheer with Gift Baskets

for Solana Beach Seniors

The holiday season can be a difficult time for seniors who are living alone, especially those who have lost a spouse or whose families live far away. To help spread holiday cheer, the Solana Beach Community Connections (SBCC) has teamed up with the City to collect and distribute thoughtful holiday gift baskets for these “Solo-Agers.” You can help by dropping off cheerful items like holiday mugs, chocolates, puzzles, or cozy gifts in our dedicated bin within City Hall. The final day to donate is Thursday, December 12th. Prefer to let us shop for you? Simply send a donation check to SBCC. Let’s work together to ensure no senior in our community feels forgotten this holiday season.

Solana Beach Fire Department Toy Drive

The Solana Beach Fire Department is continuing its annual toy drive tradition. The toy drive benefits Camp Pendleton Marine Corp families in need of a little extra help. Through this program parents are able to pick out special toys for their children. These toys make a tremendous difference in the lives of the children and families that receive them. The community is welcome to drop off new unwrapped toys in the festively decorated bins located outside of the fire station garages. The fire station will accept toys until December 14th.
