Feeling Hospitable? We Need You!

Why Hospitality Matters?

Debi Nixon, who serves as one of the executive directors at Church of the Resurrection, writes, “Have you had an experience where you walked into a business, a restaurant, or a hotel, and within seconds the first things you encountered made an immediate impression on you? The church creates the same effect. The hospitality we demonstrate matters. Our hospitality can be a bridge that draws people in and encourages them to take the next step of faith, or it can be the barrier where individuals quickly decide to disengage.”

How We Need You

On Easter Sunday, April 20th, Benton FUMC has an opportunity for you to serve our members and our guests. Please prayerfully consider serving as a greeter at one of our three services on Easter. You can sign up to be a greeter in one of our parking lots, at one of our outside entry doors, and inside the building to help our guests navigate through the building.

A brief informational meeting will be held on April 6th at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall prior to the Sunday School hour.

All you need is a smile, a word of welcome and a desire to meet new guests.

Easter Egg Candy Needed

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 12th, but we need candy to fill the eggs! Please bring individually wrapped, nut-free candy to the church office. Thank you!

Stone Soup

We have a volunteer group serving for Stone Soup at Quapaw United Methodist Church in Little Rock on Sunday, the 23rd, and 30th, at 1:30 p.m. Anyone is welcome! Contact Brandon Holligan at (205) 515-7635.

Lenten Offering

This year's Lenten Offering will go to The Van, a mission of The One, Inc. By visiting homeless camps, alleyways, and under bridges, their team delivers essential supplies—such as food, water, clothing, and hygiene products—directly to those in need. Through building relationships, The Van identifies barriers to housing and employment, assisting individuals in overcoming homelessness.

Of Note

On The Blog

On the blog this week, Bro. Walt explores Chapter 23 of "The Story" and asks us to consider how Jesus is inviting us to consider a deeper faith this season of Lent.

Jodi Donoho facilitates this group, which meets the first Wednesday of each month in The Manor's private dining room, for caretakers with loved ones experiencing dementia-related illnesses.
