INFORMATION REGARDING RECENT GOVERNMENT ACTIONS

Immigration: Many have asked about what to do with issues revolving around recent developments regarding immigration. The LCMS has put together a document that may be of help to schools and congregations. Suggested Guidelines on the Occasion of Law Enforcement coming on campus.

Government Cutbacks: We’ve been in close contact with Dave Gehm at Wellspring Lutheran Services and understand that they, together with other similar agencies in Michigan and across the nation, have not seen any funding freezes or cuts at this time. They are monitoring this closely, but expect no interruption in services or programs in the near term given the information they are receiving from key contacts in Washington.

A Note for All of Us: We count on individual Christians and congregations to act in love toward all people, be subject to those in authority, and be led by the Holy Spirit though the Word to make specific decisions in specific situations.
